Tori Sickles, marketing manager at Sickles Market in Little Silver, tasted her way through dozens of condiments, oils, cookies, sauces and salad dressings in March; the judging took place over two weeks in New York City.
"They bring in judges from all over the country, some really interesting people," Sickles said. "It's everything from marketing people like me to specialty food store owners, there was a food scientist from Oregon there."
A few of the items that took top honors in the sofi awards can be found on Sickles' shelves said, incluidng Effie's Oatcakes and Date Lady Caramel Sauce.
