As we remember and long for the return of our "spring teaser" before our abrupt hit of that bitter Nor'easter, we look forward to the return of the smells, tastes, warmth and "newness" of spring.
The spring holidays of Passover and Easter will be here soon, with Passover beginning April 10 and Easter on the 16th. As you plan your spring holiday festivities, think about how Eddie's can help you and your family celebrate.
Our chefs are continually bringing new dishes to our menu, and our grocery aisles are constantly receiving new, delicious and exceptional products to make your holiday festive and memorable. We have everything you need to bring tradition to your table, from freshly made chicken soup, matzoh balls, stuffed cabbage and brisket, to maple-glazed baked ham, herb-roasted leg of lamb, deviled eggs and buttermilk biscuits. Our coconut cake and flourless chocolate torte will be "the icing on the cake" to make your holiday complete.
Whether you celebrate Easter or Passover, our aisles are full of new and noteworthy hand-crafted products that truly exemplify the spring season. Locally produced Blume Honey Water is bursting with aromatic floral notes to quench your thirst. Look for Big Picture Farm Goat Milk Caramels in their beautifully hand-painted boxes, gifty and delicious. Also, stock up on locally made Taharka Brothers Ice Cream, with their incredible flavors. Their Honey Graham and Oreo Coffee varieties are not to be missed.
Another big new favorite is matzoh by The Matzo Project in Brooklyn, New York. Besides being a delicious matzoh, this will soon become your favorite snack cracker. Try the matzoh with Le Bon Magot Murabba, Chutney and Caponata, all found in our Charles Street cheese and charcuterie department. The exotic flavor of their White Pumpkin & Almond Murabba pairs beautifully with goat cheese, duck and sausages. To add to our list of new and noteworthy, look for Bartels Farms Certified Organic Grass-Fed Beef at our meat counter.
